How did I follow up my popcorn binge from yesterday? By buying a bathing suit today! Is that nuts or what? It’s mid-December and I needed a bathing suit for our mini-vacation next weekend. I haven’t bought a bathing suit since before my honeymoon, about 5-1/2 years ago! Fortunately, I found a very cute suit today – very flattering, as well.
In light of the holiday party I attended last week, I thought I would post some little known Sarah facts. Partly because I’m still so stuffed from popcorn and a massive dinner at Macaroni Grill (after the swimsuit purchase, I ate and ate and ate) that I can barely think straight.
Here goes:
1. I don’t like milk on my cereal. I know some of my friends know this about me. I started this quirk because I tend to read while I eat breakfast, and I get sidetracked pretty easily. Milky cereal tends to get soggy if you’re not paying attention. I drink the milk in a glass on the side. There are a few exceptions to the no-milk rule, but by and large, I go milk-less.
2. I’ve never seen “It’s a Wonderful Life” or “The Sound of Music”. And oddly enough, I have no desire to.
3. I love cookbooks and cooking magazines… but I hate cooking. I prefer baking. I get much more pleasure from making caramel pecan sticky buns than making a decent chicken dish. Cooking happens of necessity – baking is a luxury… Plus, I’m a sugar fiend.
4. I made it through my pregnancies stretch-mark free. Okay, now most of you hate me. But it’s a point of pride. I’m so so blessed with some super-elastic skin.
5. I started college as an engineering major. I changed my major because I couldn’t pass physics…a pre-req for engineering coursework. I realized pretty quickly that I’m far too creative (and loosy-goosey) to be an engineer.
Have a wonderful Sunday evening everyone… I’m off for an evening in front of TV – from “Extreme Home Makeover” through “Grey’s Anatomy” (I hope that’s all on tonight – I wouldn’t be surprised if there was other gunk on).
No stretch marks??? I look like Freddy Crouger got ahold of my belly! They are BAD NEWS! I bet you didn’t gain the amount of weight I did with both of my pregnancies though 🙂 Something I’m not overly proud of, but I’d be willing to bet if and when we have another baby, I’ll probably do it again! To the tune of 60 lbs!! 🙂
