Thursday Ten: The OMG It’s Finally Christmas Edition

1. First, and foremost obviously: Merry Christmas to each and every one of you. I hope your day wasn’t too stressful, I hope that it was fun and I hope Santa was good to you. I hope the food was good and that you splurged instead of worrying about calories and eating healthfully (dudes, even I’m in my stretchy pants).

2. My kids were so well behaved. I canNOT believe how awesome Pumpkin and The Princess were. They were so amazing. From the moment they woke up and still at this moment, they remain chill, gracious and full of Christmas spirit. That’s more than I can say for some of the adults I know.

3. Big surprise of my day? I got a Wii. I totally didn’t see that coming – didn’t expect it, and am excited. The kids are excited too. Somehow, I think they’re going to get more use out of it than I am. That’s alright.

4. I have been tinkering with my new digital camcorder and that’s fun too. My dad is in California, and I’ve been able to email him a message from the girls. I think that’s going to be a fun way for him to keep up with how they’re doing as they aren’t always up for chatting with him on the phone when he calls (for example, today? They were far too engrossed with playing with their new toys to talk).

5. I am REALLY REALLY TIRED.

6. Lots of iTunes gift cards today. New songs in my library so far are: “Winter Song” (Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson), “Gives You Hell” (All American Rejects), “Imagine” (Jack Johnson) and “Good Enough” (Evanescence). There will obviously be more music buying in the next few days. LOVE IT.

7. I had calendars made with pictures of my daughters – and the three people who got them? Loved them! That was probably the best gift I gave (though I think Hubby is pretty thrilled with the tix to the Red Wings/Avalanche game!).

8. Brownie cheesecake? Better than Christmas dinner. I barely ate dinner and instead just ate dessert. Works out much better for me that way.

9. Tomorrow? Yes, tomorrow I’ll be back at the whole being a good healthy being pattern. We may be treadmill shopping too – so, WHOOOOO!

10. Just a week until 2009. Is that scary or a good thing? I can’t believe how quickly this year flew by.
