On the Twelfth Day of Christmas…

…my true love gave to me:

a twelve-pack of batteries

Yes, it’s that time again. Hubby is doing the Twelve Days of Christmas for me. He does this nearly every year, in the days counting down to Christmas, gives me a small present every day until Christmas day. Some years he starts at “one” and builds up to “twelve”. Other years, such as this year, he starts at “twelve” and works his way down.

The gifts are rarely extravagant, pricey things. Past gifts have included candles, candy canes, a gift card to Target, and a bag of beef jerky. Things that are small, but always make me smile.

Though batteries seems an odd gift, it’s really not. We are forever running out of batteries in this house (mainly because my digital camera is such a power-suck).

I really thought Hubby would be too sleep-deprived and cranky this year (by the way, Pumpkin isn’t sleeping anymore… AGAIN) to pull this off. I am very excited. I have 11 more days of presents coming my way!

  1. That is so COOL! I can’t believe he is doing that on his own with no prodding from anyone. I’m going to stick this idea in my “remember this” file so if my son or daughter’s boyfriend ask me for a clever idea for gifts, I’ll have one to share.

  2. I’m so jealous.
